Exosomes are nanoparticles believed to have their biogenesis from multivesicular endosomes thus representative of cells of original. With more than a billion exosomes per mL of plasma, they have been interrogated for diagnostic and therapeutic values in almost all clinical disease scenario. In neurodegenerative disease, application of exosomes is still in early days to realize their full potential.
This talk will first review current understanding of exosomes in AD diagnostic. Then, our progress will be presented and discussed in some detail. The talk will end by suggesting future effort to harvest the full potential of exosomes in clinical management of AD.
